So which one do you choose and why? It all depends on what you are use to and familiar with honestly. MIL is 3.6" @ 100 yards and MOA is 1.047" @ 100 yards. That would make the MIL a coarse drive ratchet and the MOA a fine drive ratchet in layman's terms. When you break down individual clicks that would be 0.36" for MIL and 0.25" for MOA. So that would make MOA a little more precise and for MIL it would make for faster overall adjustments. Where you will see the differences are that most bench-rest style of shooters will choose MOA for the more precise adjustments. Competitive shooters (PRS and NRL style) will choose MIL because it will be a faster adjustment out to farther distances and less overall variances between those distances. In the end it really just boils down to personal preferences and what style of shooting you will be participating in most of the time.

***These recommendations should be used as a guide and may not fit all applications (Based on 50mm Objective lens contacting barrel/AR forends). There are several easy to find ring height calculators available online. *** Rem 700 footprints = low rings (0.92") (up to 40 MOA scope rail) Ruger RPR = medium rings (1.26") Ruger American = low rings (0.92") Savage 110 = low rings (0.92") Tikka = low rings (0.92") Sako = low rings (0.92") AR Platform = ARP Rigid Mount (1.50") med rings (1.26") For the new EP5 with the 56mm objective the following are our recommendations: Rem 700 and clones = medium rings (1.26") with bull barrels and 20 MOA rails This will be the case for most platforms out there with the exception of anything with AR style shrouds. Then you will need to use a scope rings height calculator.

EPR (Extreme Precision Reticle): The top portion of this reticle is designed to range an average adult male: 5'9" tall and 19.5" wide at the shoulders. Each number above a chevron indicates distance in yrds. Ex. With feet on center aim point, the top of the head would touch the apex of the '3' chevron if at 300 yrds. Or, if using shoulders, the same scenario would place the apex of the '3' chevron center mass of target, with the shoulders perfectly inside of the 'V'. SHR (Shooter/Hunter Reticle): This is a clean, duplex style reticle great for those who don't like the clutter. VPR (Variable Power Reticle): Our VPR is intended to provide a highly usable reticle throughout the magnification range, a challenge for most FFP's. The eye is quickly drawn to the outer center cross on low magnification, while higher magnifications present a clear view of the tgt with a floating dot for more precise engagements.

There will be a limited quantity of EP4's released once we get a handle on SH4 GenII production. We have made great strides in our production capability overall but it is still too early to post a release for the EP4. You can sign up for an in-stock notification on the product listing.
