The battery cover is held tight in place by an O-ring. Firmly grip the knob, and with your other hand grab and turn the cover. It’s tough on some, but just some firm pressure will loosen it for you.
So you know the type of battery to use, how do you remove the battery cover to insert a new batter? When I unboxed my scope yesterday I discovered the knob was not at zero but rather at number 2, so if the battery was installed it is now drained. So what is the trick to remove the battery cover?

So what is the method to open the battery compartment on this Arken scope?
My 2nd arken did not
Both of mine came with batteries.
Two relevant pieces of information missing from Arken's minimal riflescope documentation are:
1) Identifying the battery type.
2) How to open the battery compartment cover.
My SH-4 GEN II 6-24x50 came with a CR2032 battery.
