Forgive me I'm a Nubee a these types of scopes - Can someone explain what the 3rd turret does ? (On the left hand side) The turret inside of illumination turret with numbers up to 1000 m ?

That is the objective focus turret. It is also referred to as the "parallax" adjustment. Adjust so the object (target) you are viewing is as sharply focused as possible. Assuming you have your ocular adjusted for maximum reticle sharpness, the object focus brings the image to be coincident with the reticle. In this way, if you slightly move your eye behind the scope, the reticle will not shift on the target, i e. parallax. I'm sure you can find a couple YouTube videos with explanations and diagrams.
That in simple terms adjusts the clarity of the scope at distances. say you’re looking at 850 yards,just turn it until the target comes into focus.the yardage numbers on these scopes are usually close but not perfect,just focus it to your eyes.
