I have some concerns about this as well. Nothing really shows the Zulus used on anything other than an air rifle. Most people express concerns over the eye relief as well. I only plan on using a 5.56 (for now), but its a concern for the future. Also, where's the rangefinder? Does the ballistic calculator function work, or available? I truly hope that Arken updates their website with some info, because I did purchase one, but I'm having second thoughts about it now.
There are claims that it will handle most everything you throw at it, however that's all a mute point if you're in the ER getting your orbital socket stitched up.
I just did a Google search ref. The Zulus on full bore rifles. Someone is using one on his .308 without any concerns. I think he's based in Scotland because Russ Douglas is also on the thread. If he's using one on a 308 / 7.62 then you shouldn't have any worrys. If I can work out how to copy the link on my phone, I'll post it.
As I understand the paperwork, the optic has 45mm eye relief from the rubber cap that is screwed on. The rubber cap also incorpoprates eye reliefe in it as well. I dont think there will be any issue with this putting it on just about anything. I have had my eye dotted twice in my life due to recoil, but it was always due to it being unexpected. Recoil management will be critical, but dooable. :)
The scope is rated for .338 and will stand up to a high powered rifle. I have found it to be as fantastic value for money Night & Day Vision scope, with great sound and picture quality video in playback, plus several reticle, and 5 colour optoins, all that can be increased through future firmware updates. The scope comes with a rubber eye peice, so I would suggest keeping this on with high power rifles, plus eye protection just in case the recoil is too much. It states that it is tested for the shock of these high calibre rifles, but recoil is as much down to the users, position and hold, as much as the scopes ability to take the shock. I have only used it on PCP, so coudn't give feed back on 7.62 or .308, but I know for sure that for something like the British SA80 rifle in 5.56 that I used to shoot in the British Army, it wouldn't have been a problem to use at all with this scope. It will be the bolt action, none gas blowback rifles that will be the harshest, I expect.
One review in particular said the scope had a short eye relief, making it sketchy for shooting anything above a .22. But he is one guy so I wanted to check with people who had the scope to see if any had had that problem with higher caliber rifles.

You can put it on anything you wish.
