The purpose of this post is to dissway the negative comments I read on this forum yesterday. Most of the negative posts dealt with slow shipping or non response from customer service. i will say to the nay sayers that these posts are a load of bovine excrement. I placed an order for a new scope (my 4th) from Arken on Dec. 6th.. and on December 7th I received an emsil from Arken showing that my order had been shipped along with the tracking numbers to prove it.
I also received a reply from customer service on the same day I had requested info on an order. My point here is that you certainly can't believe everything you read. Even with the magnitude of orders that Arken receives, i have with all my orders with them received fast shipping, and to have a customer service rep reply on the same day day is virtually unheard of these days.
Don't believe the negative posts... Arken prvides products that are unequal for their price point, their shipping is fast, and their customer service is top-notch....
This post is pure BS...lol. I ordered my EP-5 on Nov 27th and it's stil not here. Got a notification that it shipped on Jan 31st from TX to NC but USPS tracking still shows that it's "moving through the system" somewhere. It's pretty absurd actually.
We are still a small company, and getting literally hundreds of email per day to reply too. Some questions are a simple answer, others take some time. We do the best we can for everyone, all the time! Shipping times will largely depend on if it is in stock or not. While the website is updated as much as possible, we don't have a dedicated team to keep it current. But again, we do try our best to keep everyone updated. The lead times are of course, and estimate. There are many aspects and hurdles that have to be overcome to get our products to the dock. They usually come in one door, boxed up, and go right out the other door. I feel like we do a really good job all things considered.
I ordered my EP5 MOA mid Nov when it said on their website that there was a 2 week lead. After 2 weeks, I tried calling Arken to ask about how much longer it was going to be but just got their answering machine which said to email them. I emailed them and it took three days to get a reply saying that their lead time was 2 week and they would notifiy me when it shipped. It has now been THREE weeks with no shipping notification. It STILL says 2 week lead on the website.
My buddy ordered an EP5 MIL on Black Friday when the website had NO lead listed for it. He has also not gotten any shipping notification.
I wanted to order an EP4 MOA VPR which suggests there is no lead time... but they haven't made good on my first order.
Disappointing.
I don't know about CS replying on the same day being "unheard of". I do business with lots of companies all the time. Aero Precision, Faxon, Rainier Arms, Henry RA exc. All of which are smaller companies, all of which respond to CS requests by email usually within a few minutes and I can call and talk with them.
I don't believe people are upset about "slow shipping" either. More likely it's wait times for products being underestimated by the company that would be the issue. I really don't care about wait times. I didn't see any comments about the shipping or postal service being slow or ups not delivering on time or whatever shipping service they use. Once items are shipped, there seems to be no issues.
I just ordered an EP8, I am perfectly fine waiting. Since the cultists decided to shut everything down it's what we have to deal with now.
