BEAUTIFUL RINGS. Kudos.
<blog post>
I am a creature of habit and have 7 SWFAs on Weaver 6 screw rings. One was on the rig I bought the Arken for. It's one of my oldest and the reticle is just yuge. Rex gave you a great review so here I am. I didn't think about the fact that my bases were Weaver and my first inclination was to get a set of 34mm Weaver 6 screws and return your rings. After close inspection I find your rings to be of exceptional fit and finish.
I wound up not buying Weaver rings, but a Pic rail for my rifle. Again, KUDOS.
Now the criticism. With all the emphasis on proper torque, instead of providing a Torx wrench you should provide a Torx bit that will fit our torque wrenches/drivers. I had a T25 (T27?) bit but I had to DIG for it. AND, with the wrench, new shooters may unknowingly damage their new optic.
Zero rounds under the new scope, but if they perform as well as they look and fit, I'll be back to send more praise.

The OLD setup
Agree, the rings are excellent. It all sits atop my .300rum, I'll be back mid week with an update after testing 👍
I just got back from the range. 20 rounds from my 700 in .300RUM, no brake installed(my shoulder will pay for it over the next few days), these little Halo rings held true! With 180grain Norma Bondstrikes, I cloverleafed several groups. The SH4 is an incredible scope, the clarity is ridiculously good at this price. It's worth triple what they charge! Groups as small as I was getting can't be done unless Everything in the chain is working perfectly. This rifle with the Arken optics and accessories atop it, is the most fun I've ever had in 47 years of shooting 😎
Looks awesome!!
Newbie here,
Did you order the medium or high rings, I just place my order for a new Arlen 6-24. I went with the high rings for my RPR. I don’t want the scope too high over the barrel.
@low8x2 I'll reply, even tho I don't know who you're asking...
I have Mediums. By the way, scope height over bore has zero impact on accuracy, dont fall for the myths and lies. Ppl have tested up to 5" over bore and there was zero difference between that, and so low that it's almost touching the barrel.
I always believed the myth that it's got to be mounted super low, and my head was always tilted/cocked over to get the eye box right. Now, my head is straight up, the stock is touching my jaw, fast sight picture thru scope. I was doing it wrong for 4 decades 🤬😡
@low8x2 It will largely depend on what type of mount you have on your receiver. If it is just scope bases, you will find Mediums will work. If it has a scope rail, such as a 20-30MOA rail, then Lows should work well.
Thanks for all of your help. I guess I’ll have to order the mediums and send the high rings back.
Try the Highs, you have an adjustable cheek pad.
Yep, give it a try 1st. Ya never know.
10-4. I got both ordered. Many thanks for your help!
Coming back to this, search the web for high speed videos of scope flex for magnum loads (if that's what you're shooting, or not). You would not believe the amount of stress a scope system is put under every shot. This is the reason, outside of rimfire, that I try to keep the scope as close to the centerline of the barrel as possible. The lessened changes of elevation in your DOPE for short to long range adjustments is just a mathmatical bonus.
