Well, they listened to the masses, and have no produced the EPL4 in 4-16 and 6-24 in a 30mm scope with the Japanese ED glass. Ask and you shall receive!
I have not heard anything about new specs yet, other than some new stuff is coming down sometime prior to the end of the year. I know there is a 1-6 LPVO in the works, as well as a lightweight Hunter version, but that is about it.
