Thanks for the response.
1) I used the Arken Halo Rings.
2) I installed the bases first. Positioned the scope with proper eye relief. Then places and tightened down the upper rings.
3) I leveled with bubble levels. No feeler gauges.
4) I boresighted it at 50 yards and the reticle is high and to the right both beyond the number of clicks available.
5) It is a Ruger Precision rifle bolt action in 308.
I've installed other scopes and never had to make more than minor adjustments to get it zero'd.
