just received my scope sh-4 4-16x50 , question i noticed when i have the
illumination on to # 6 max on 4 thru 11 full, at zoom out to 16
of course its pretty much the crosshair looking into a dark room or outside with window open
the crosshair lights up along with the 6 o'clock line on the reticle about half way up
the line to the crosshair, is this just from the {Emitter} from the bottom.
anyone else notice this.
this is one sweet optic, i sighted it in today per my
elcheapo accusync 34mm mount that returns to zero if removed
or close enough,
walked it down nicely on paper, i guess the correct term is tracking
i noticed this evening i didnt see the line at the bottom of the reticle
just in pitch black condition u can see it,
feller beside me at the range was having a tuff time he upgraded
his mounts to geissele with nightforce nx8 1x8 had 2 setups like that
and a leupold mark 4. those mounts cost as much as my scope
anyway i was finished, and he was still trying to get them dialed in.
he had really nice stuff.
thanks for the awesome optic and your reply
You are correct. This is normal operation for the illumination system.
