Hello all! So I recently stumbled, quite accidentally, onto the Arken Optics name and products. And they are compelling, to say the least. While I've seen some absolutely gorgeous examples of shootin' irons, I haven't seen anything that could answer my question. Arken wasn't able to give me a solid answer when I posed the question to them. Can anyone tell me with any certainty that these scopes will be able to hold up to a "scope killer" SCAR 17? Holding up to a 50BMG is impressive, but completely different in that the 50 doesn't have the extreme harmonic issue that the SCAR is known for. Though I suppose it would be difficult to argue lifetime replacement. Thanks.

Faith in the product! That says a LOT!
I own some high end scopes...Nightforce, Khales, Steiner M5xi, and I like the Arkin just as much as any of these scopes. No doubt Arkin makes a good scope. Especially for the price point. It's heavy...to me that's it's a good sign it's tough. As far as putting it on a scar....only time (and round count) will tell. If you break it... that doesn't mean its a bad scope...I'm sure Arkin will stand behind their warranty. If it doesn't break after a couple of years and a high round count...Arken probably needs to raise their price. It looks like a company team member has already given you the go ahead.
Air guns that are piston driven spring operators, are notorious for destroying scope internals. Since Arken Optics has a tried and true reputation for holding strong, even in the most horrific recoil and bounce back, I would recommend them to anyone shooting anything!!
I've been seeing some guys on the web mounting Arkin on air rifles. I don't shoot air rifles but I hear they are also hard on optics due to the sharp harmonics. All of the internet air rifle crowd also seems to speak highly of the Arkin durability.
I have my arken mounted on a custom smokeless muzzleloader 45 cal. With about 200 rounds shot on it ,best scope I've tried in some time. Scope preforms as advertised will be getting another one hopefully the wait time is shorter this time.

If you do it, I'd like to hear about the results. So you have something to compare it to.. My Leopold lasted about a year on the first go around and 3 trips to the range after it was repaired. Probably about 150 rounds after the repair. The viper failed first time out. Both scopes just quit tracking. The US optics on the YouTube video had the o ring at the eye piece start to come out. The problem with the scar is not the recoil...it's the enormous bolt group slamming forward after each shot. I have had no problems with either of these scopes on ar10 style rifles.
No reason not to give try! If it passes, then you have an awesome comparison story to tell!
Don't do it. My scar 17 has eaten a vortex viper X 1 and a Leopold mark 4 x 2. Both companies have excellent customer service and my scopes were repaired but that gun gets an Eotech from now on. Somewhere on YouTube there is a video of a US Optics B-10 being eaten as well. The US optics and the Leopold scopes both had military contracts and the SCAR ate them. I wouldn't trust my scar with any scope.
There shouldn’t be any reason a Scar would kill an Arken. The recoil impulse of a Scar isn’t that bad to me, and I have a messed up shoulder!
Give us a shot.
We've been shooting a Noreen 300 Win Mag and in the 30 06 with the Arken 6x24 scope and it holds up very well. I'm sure your little SCAR 17 will not stress it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXeus6M3vA8
