@James F Starr Shooting with a .22lr, especially at distance, you will need the features of the Arken Optics scopes. It’s an added edge that is nice to have! I have an EP4 6-24x50 on my Savage 17HMR, and I couldn’t be happier!
Talking with the friend of mine who has been talking me through a .223 build, he seemed to think that I was getting too much scope when I ordered the EP5. The build is a dedicated varmint gun, so I want something that I'm comfortable shooting small targets to 300ish yards - I think it's a great choice.

Looks like a modified 10/22. Right?
@dkrat243 Bergara BXR , it shoots very good, a lot better with the new scope.
Yes Ruger parts interchange on most of it.
@Jimmy Nelson Very cool!
Geeze, and I was wondering if this was too much scope for a .308! You .22 competition shooters are a rare breed!
