I have horrible eyes and 5 arken scopes. I have 2 sh4 4-16s, 1 Ep4 4-24, and 1 ep5. I have had no problems with these 4 scopes. I have been able to set parallax and focus on them as easily as I have on any of my high end scopes. However, I have been struggling with my sh4 24 power scope and can't seem to get it in focus. I just can't seem to get a clear view on it if I'm shooting over 50 yards. It seems like I have to readjust the diopter every time I switch distances. I know I have really bad eyes (5 power contact lenses) but it seems strange that this is the only Arken I've had issues with. Then again it's the only one I have of this model in 6-24 so I don'thave another one to compare it to.. Has anyone else who is seriously nearsighted had this issue with this scope? ...or did I get a bad one.

I don't have any issues setting up other scopes for my eyes....this is the only scope I have in this power range with Chinese glass. I'm wondering if it's a combination of my bad eyes, higher power magnification and glass that's not typically found on top tier scopes. All of my other higher power scopes only have Japanese or German glass. I have steiner, kahles, nightforce, and the ep 4 and 5 in the higher power range. I don't have problems with the sh4 16s at all (same glass lower magnification). Maybe I need to order another sh4 24. If the problem is on both of them I'll know it's my eyes and I can sell them both. Better yet I'll put it on the SCAR heavy and see how it holds up.
I have same issue seems something is off with my focus parallax dial I have to set it to 500+ for it to focus barely at 100.
All of your Arkens should be able to focus relatively the same way. Adjust your diopter 1st, with the parallax set to infinity, and your magnification on max. Adjust to get a sharp image of the reticle. It should be instantly clear as soon as you look at it. Don't stare at it and try to adjust it, as you eye will try to do the focusing aspect for you. Do this a few times until you get it down. Then, your parallax should work for looking clearly at distant objects.
