@mediccop736 The use of "Sir" a cpl times are red flags. That and broken English. Hes not even in the U.S., learn and move on. The sting goes away, just don't get complacent. Remember the sting b4 every sale, and again, listen to your gut 👍

@Spoonman good advice, and that’s why I like and use Reddit GAFS selling board for used equipment, the flair system helps combat scammers but nothing is guaranteed

@larrymdeckerjr oh and he sent me an expired conceal carry card which i called him out on and said what is that its expired he tried to tell me it was his drivers license then after awhile he sent me a drivers license with the same name on it but im pretty sure they were both stolen. I contacted the local pd on the drivers license and asked about a fire and yeah there was no fire on that day and the address on the license is still standing lol lol

@larrymdeckerjr yeah i was like what does a house fire have to do with the shipping reciept being in your car send a pic of it.. he said he will send my money back but yeah that never happened. He just didnt understand why i was calling him scum of the earth liar when he said he shipped the scope the night before but now he all worried about sending my money back but since his wife died he couldnt access the account until monday. Again i had to remind him he shipped it out according to him. Few hours later he sends me another fake shipping label and says heres your confirmation sorry for the inconvienanace….. ummm why send another fake shipping form if you already sent The scope the day before.

@larrymdeckerjr ohh man where do i start.. i have lots of emails.. so communication was good at first. Sent him confirmation as he asked from paypal money sent. He sends me pic that he at ups store. then sends me fake usps shipping label. I said what company he says usps i said ups doesnt send usps you fool. Then asked for reciept he says in his car it was late he send next morning. No response next morning finally next afternoon he send some pixelated 1990’s photos of house fire said his wife died in fire and he would send me money back. I asked why he had to send money back if he already shipped scope. Complete fool. Then called him out on his post on this forum as a scammer he then deleted post. Then he sent me another fake shipping label last sunday night. Then all of a sudden he doesnt know how to respond and he wants me to call him. send me your email and i will send you the 50+ emails from this idiot so you can have a good laugh too. My fault i knew i was getting scammed even called him out on early emails font on his emails kept changing and he kept calling me sir like your typical overseas scammer.

New forums like this are easy targets for scammers. In the future, ask if they are members of other forums(snipershide, longrangehunting etc) so you can check any seller/buyer feedback they might have.

It sucks that this happened. A wife dying and a fire shortly after.... both desperate attempts at confusing the honest person(you) on the other end.

I've been buying/selling on forums & ebay since '02. I've only had 1 issue, and it was the ONE time I did Not listen to my gut. Always, always go with your gut. Hope this was your 1 bad run in with an ass, and the rest smooth transactions 👍🙏

@Spoonman your exactly right! This was my actual first time and i knew it from the beginning but didnt listen to my gut. All the signs were right in front of me and i even called him out on it but my son wanted that scope so bad i bit the bullet and proceeded and ended up paying the price for it. First time in 20+ years. you live and learn.
