I received my SH-4 6 - 24 X 50 yesterday and mounted it today. I have a couple of questions:
1. How do you turn on the reticle illumination?
2. What are the reticle gradations telling me? I have an MOA scope.
Hopefully, Arken will provide some data on these items in the future.
The scopes can definitely handle the recoil. Double check the battery is installed correctly. You can bend out the battery tabs on the cap to help make sure it has good contact. Make sure there are no oils on the surfaces of the battery. If it continues to be a problem, just email Arken. They will get you fixed up. info@arkenopticsusa.com
my scope does the same thing. After 60 round of .308 Win illumination just stop working. maybe this scope just cant handle big recoil.
Scopes are setup for right handed shooters leaving you're left hand free. The reticle illumination knob is on the left side turret next to the parallax knob.
Illumination is outer turret and parallax is inner turret. Remove outer turret battery cap and insert battery. As you turn the turret it will illuminate from lowest setting to highest setting as you keep turning.
Directions come with it. You can also search YouTube for videos that explain it. There's also videos galore that explain MOA and MIL reticles.
love to tell ya but I been waiting since jan for mine
